When darkness turns to light
We look at the light
Not at the darkness
We've stared at that too long
We begin to forget it
But we can't forget it
Forgetting the dark dims the light
Forgetting the dark dulls the bright
Forgetting the dark is just like forgetting the light
My eye is drawn to the light
I look at it and the dark disappears
I follow the light
Without remembering I ever knew the dark
We begin to forget it
But we can't forget it
Forgetting the dark dims the light
Forgetting the dark dulls the bright
Forgetting the dark us just like forgetting the light
To share the light
I have to be able to compare it to the dark
But if I can't remember the dark
How can I compare it?
We begin to forget it
But we can't forget it.
No, we can't forget it.
