It's been a great summer. My last post was updated right after Breakaway Camp. Since then, I've been to Oklahoma for a missions trip and Florida for FAF Nationals.
Oklahoma was spent by painting houses, pulling weeds, babysitting kids, and growing spiritually. I made some great new friends and met some amazing community members. We ended every day with a small group bible study, consisting of only our youth group. It was exactly what are group needed. We now have this new sense of family that we've never had before. Opening up, being there for each other, living together (over all for 3 weeks) really made us see one another differently.
Everyone in Florida received Superior (There are 3 levels: Excellence, Superior, and Superior with Honors) so for our first time in Nationals, we did alright =) We spent our days at the beach or performing or watching other acts or listening to a great speaker or screaming out worship songs. Of course, this provided a new family aspect as well (as did a 13+ hour car drive).
It's been a great summer, as God is preparing this youth group for whatever His next step is. We are going into school with a new boldness, a new passion, a new fire.
