Okay, so I was wrong. That wasn't my last post. This is...maybe. This post may be completely pointless, but oh well. It gives you something to read.
A merit-winning percussion team showed off their yellow buckets and white drumsticks with style, hiting each piece in monotonous yet harmonous rythms. A small youth group was not only impressed but inspired, so they decided to call a local friend who plays the drums. They begged to start their own percussion team, though hardly any of them had any real experience in it. That team won 1st in state the following year.
A teenage girl, equipped with only an imagination and computer, sat down and stared at the blinking bar, watching it mock her for the fourth or fifth day as it offered no words or phrases to write. She was loosing hope that her book chapter would be entered. Reading other books, learning new words, and jogging her mind provided no ideas. Finally, she took her hands off the keyboard and mumbled a small prayer, asking for inspiration. Within minutes, the clicking of keys was the only sound she heard. That paper won 1st in state that year.
3 young girls, into a competition for the first time, shared a passion for sign language. With time and effort, they practiced their motions until they were flawless. Performance day came quickly, and the result of hard work was 3 crying judges, a deeply moved audience, and a proud youth group. That 1st time trio won 2nd in state that year.
About 3 girls stood in front of a small audience, waiting with anticipation for the first notes of their particular song to be played. They embraced their song head on, singing with passion for their King. The God of the universe was glorified that day.
Several 1st person essays and short stories were entered, each written with skill, patience, love, and determination. Some papers touched people individually, relating perfectly to their current situation. They were above expectations, and written to show the love of God.
A puppet team, made up of only several students, homemade posters, tin cans, old puppets, and a purple curtain was ready to perform in the largest room, for the sole purpose of entertaining young children by glorifying God. Not only was this all accomplished, but the national level was in this group's future.
