My sister made this quiz on Facebook: "What Member of Life Unleashed are you?" and it was pretty interesting. Each question had ten possible answers. When I read every answer, I thought oh, that's Audrey; man that's Zach right there; haha, remember that one time Christine proved that right? I mean you could tell who it was that the creator of the quiz was trying to portray, because each person had his or her own individuality. No matter how alike they are, 2 people can still be compared and contrasted. It made me think; what words do people associate me with? This thought branched out into 2 sections.
1. How do my friends see me?
2. How do unbelievers see me?
First, my friends. I mean what do they think? Do the words honesty and trustworthy come to mind? Or untrustworthy and duplicitous? Do they think real and authentic? Or fake and traditional? Listener or talker? I could ask myself thousands of questions. Of course, we don't want to be consumed with what other people think of us. We should, however, be concerned with it to a degree in which we realize that we could be a role model or example for someone.
Second, unbelievers. How to the teenagers at my high school see me? Do they think fake or real? Do they wonder if I'm a devout Christian or just playing church? Do they see me as nice or self absorbed? But when I asked myself, there were some that were unable to be answered: Because they hadn't been given a chance to ask themselves. Some people don't know I'm a Christ-follower. I had never made the effort to reach out to them and boldly show them who I was. In some cases, the best they could do would be "Is she just a goody goody, or is there something more here?" But they shouldn't have to ask that. They should be asking what is the "something more", not whether it exists or not!
You and I are both examples to society, whether we like it and accept it or not. Our choice lies in how we choose to use that privilege.
