Acceptance

So here it goes: my first real blog for this site. And guess what? It's not a fun subject.
Acceptance is tricky. On one hand there are things that you should learn to accept; yet on the other, you need to work for certain things.
You may have had to accept that you didn't get the grade you wanted. Or maybe you've accepted that you're not ever going to get any taller than five foot four (sigh). Even still, you may have accepted that this guy/gal doesn't like you that way, or you didn't get the job you wanted, or you accepted that a loved one died, or that you're not as pretty or smart as you want to be.
There are so many things that we just have to accept. No matter what we do, nothing will come out of it, except maybe a lot of hurt and pain. Still, it's excited to know that we don't have to settle for the relationship we are in with God.
What I mean is that, you may have a great relationship with God, and nothing is going wrong in your life: it's just peachy-keen =] But guess what? It can get even better. No matter what you're relationship with God is, whether 2008 was a 10 or a -27 on your scale, you don't have to go through the same cycle again.

P.S. Okay Pastor Marc you're probably thinking "man, she just stole my sermon from last night!" but actually I've been planning to blog on this subject for a little while now (maybe just not in as much detail). Funny how God works, huh? =]
